Note that the emphasis was on 'safety' of the Protocol. The effort was to show that it wasn't safe, although they were unable to do more than unsubstantiated scare tactics.

The statement was made that 1-2 lbs per week is safe, and yet gastric bypass, which results in much more rapid weight loss, was touted as safer than the hCG Protocol.
The sublingual method delivers the hCG via absorption through the membranes under the tongue and into the bloodstream, NOT via the gastrointestinal system. It is troubling that Dr. London doesn't have a better understanding of the term 'sublingual'!
